The 30L Tour Rider is a very popular model. It is designed to easily carry skis or a snowboard and has designated pockets for all your avalanche safety gear, so you never go off-piste without it. The large 30litre storage gives enough room for water and extra layers making it suitable for longer trips into the backcountry and ski-touring.
A new addition to the Ortovox range is the stylish 35 litre Haute Route. This has been designed with ski touring in mind and is very comfortable to wear even when packed full and carrying skis. The Free Rider 26L is another new model and is aimed, as the name suggests, at free-ride skiers and boarders looking for a long day off-piste shredding the pow.
All the packs in the Ortovox range are designed to fit a hydration pack, as well as having pockets for your avalanche shovel and probe.
New to our backpack range are these great packs from the off-piste specialists Back Country Access.
In their range of large backpacks we have the Stash BC, which at 35litres and also with hydration pack and pockets for your avalanche gear, is a perfect ski touring pack. The Stash BC Rider is the same bag but with snowboard attachment rather than ski attachments.
We also now stock the Stash Alp range - coming in two sizes Stash Alp 40
and Stash Alp 55. These are designed as Alpine backpacks for long mountaineering and ski-mountaineering trips. There are attachments for all your mountaineering including ice-axes, crampons, avalanche gear. The large capacity of both bags means they are suitable for multi-day trips into the mountains. The design also means they are comfortable even to wear all day long with a heavy load.
We stock the 32 litre Covert backpack which is an ideal pack for both off-piste skiers and snowboarders. Also we sell the same backpack but with the revolutionary Avalung II built in to keep you safer in backcountry terrain. The Covert Avalung is available in 22 litre and 32 litre sizes.
