A problem has arisen with regards to the M2 Avalanche Transceivers. This problem is the subtle variation in battery sizes across several manufacturers Worldwide. This is a problem that could affect all battery powered safety equipment and has been flagged in relation to the M2 transceiver in the Ortovox range.
M2 users have found that an M2 tested before going out COULD appear to be non-functional at the moment that they are required to be used. This is due to a slight shift of the batteries or a single battery, whilst the transceiver is in transit.
