HISTORY OF MAMMUT
In 1862, Kaspar Tarner founded the company in Dintikon and started developing sports equipment. Mammut Sports manufactures and sells top-of-the-range avalanche products and snow safety equipment.
By the year 1992, Mammut had formed branches all over the world and begun promoting sports equipment and avalanche safety products worldwide. The main branch of Mammut is located in Switzerland.
In the year 2009, the MAMMUT SPORTS GROUPS sold 70% of their products abroad. Since 1998 Mammut's revenue has rocketed from CHF 2.5 million to CHF 192.6 million. The main reason for this turnover is the promotion and innovative quality of the snow products Mammut has on the market. With a range of branches and employees in various countries such as Germany, Norway, USA and Japan, the sales network of Mammut is continuing its global expansion and is set to expand to even greater heights.
