The Free Rider family is the latest in the Ortovox Powder Performance Line and is designed to accompany you on those unforgettable deep powder days, providing freedom and security in the mountains.

The Free Rider allows you to sway safely and freely through knee deep powder by providing optimum protection but not slowing you down.

The integrated Spine Protection System, TÜV-tested and fulfilling the strict motorcycle standard, provides optimum fit back protection. When worn correctly, the ergonomic cut retains the freedom of upper body movement but remains secure if you fall. Combined with the neoprene hip belt you are guaranteed to feel comfortable and safe.

Ortovox provides ski/snowboard attachments, optional helmet attachment and extra compartments for accessories as standard. The Free Rider 18 offers you an ice axe loop and an integrated saftey whistle. The back access to the pack means you can access your gear even when carrying your skis or board.

The Free Rider also offers an air channel to ensure good back ventilation and help reduce a build up of heat under your ski jacket.

Please note: it is important you buy the correct size pack to guarantee personal comfort and protection. The Free Rider 18 and 26 are recommended for people 175-190 cm tall, if you are shorter the Free Rider 16 or 24 may be more suitable.

All Ortovox Free Rider backpacks feature this integrated patented and TUV tested back protector.

The protector is composed of five layers, aligned to optimise strength.

The optimum fit is ensured by a wide neoprene hip strap.
