The Recco reflector is permanently affixed to skiers and snowboarders boots or helmets.
The Recco reflector avalanche system increases your chances of being found quickly and alive in the event of an avalanche. The reflector does not transmit any sort of signal but instead are designed to reflect back the high frequency signal of the detector.
More then 440 resorts, helicopter bases, national park and search and rescue organisations Worldwide are equipped with the system.
Please note that the Recco reflector does not guarantee location or survival and when going backcountry make sure you are equipped with the proper equipment which includes a transceiver, probe and shovel!
