The Scott Backcountry Guide AP 40 Kit has a comfy body hugging fit with padded hip belts and shoulder straps, the hip belt and shoulder straps on the AP 40 correspond with each other in order to distribute the weight when twisting and turning through the backcountry. due to the pack having a large capacity there is compression straps on the outside of the bag so compress the load.
When wearing your Scott Backcountry Guide AP 40 Airbag System you must make sure that all of your straps are securely fastened and the activation handle is adjusted to the correct height.
In the case of an avalanche, pull down firmly on the activation handle to activate the Scott Alp Ride 2.0 Airbag System, This will inflate the 150l Airbag system in around 3 seconds.
