6061 Aluminium T6 The Strongest aluminium available – used in Ortovox high-end safety products for optimal balance between weight and ridgity. The 6061 aluminium T6 is used in most Ortovox shovel stems and the blade of the Pro Light Shovel. |

5052 Aluminium This type of alumimium is light yet rigid and, therefore, Ortovox first choice for many of the Ortovox shovel scoops. You can find the 5052 aluminium in the Pro Alu III, Beast & Badger. |

D-Handle The D-handle is regarded as the king of all handles. Its orientation and ergonomics allow for maximum lift so you can remove more snow without tiring. Thus you can remove more snow without tiring. You can find this within the Kodiak Shovel. |

Conical Handle + Rubberization The shovel handle has an oval cross section, which gives it better durability than round cross sections. The same is true for the stiffness.
