Ortovox Free Rider 26 S Inside (Interior):

This pack has a 26 Litre capacity which provides plenty of room for stowing your essentials such as a cushioned goggle case, shovel, probe, first aid and hydration system.
Clearer Layout, Simple, uniform compartment structure and better use of space.
The smaller top compartment offers space for all valuables, cameras or even smaller items of clothing such as gloves or glasses.
Front and back access have been integrated into the Ortovox Free Rider 26 so you can access all your safety equipment as quick as possible. We recommend combining this high-end Free Rider 26 with the Ortovox Diract Set
The standard for Ortovox, an Emergency Card has been added to the features so when an avalanche occurs it makes it easy to extract information of the victim.
Bright Inside, Light Colours inside make it easier to find your equipment.

Ideal For:

The Freerider 26 is ideal for rappelling into steep gullies or short walking passages, the Free Rider series has All the Necessary Attachment Options for skis, ice axe or rope, not to mention the tried-and-tested helmet net, emergency card and hydration system compatibility.

All the features are well stowed away on the outside to prevent them catching, even when in rough terrain. All models also offer enough space for climbing skins and ski crampons, ensuring extra flexibility on the go.

The Fit:

Softback pads hug the back perfectly without hindering the vertebrae in their movements. On the inside, the back of the backpack can be fitted with the separate Clasp Spine Protector, which is Certified to Motorcycle Standards. It can be slid easily into a separate inner pocket.

In order to optimally adjust the backpack while on the go, it can be quickly compressed using the integrated side straps and folded into a flat, second skin on the back.

Clasp Spine Protector - Insert for Freeriders

Sold Separately, The Clasp Spine Protector is a separate spine protector specially designed for Freeride Series backpacks. Capable of withstanding multiple impacts, the Flexible Protector Made From SAS-TEC Foam is concealed in a separate pocket on the inside of the backpacks, ready for use when required.

With no Noticeable Weight Difference or restriction of movement, it offers Maximum Protection of the Spine. During slow force applications, the foam has a cushioning effect thanks to soft compression. In the event of a high-impact or high-speed fall, the foam’s microstructure results

in minimal compression and becomes instantly rigid, providing Optimum Protection for the spine.

Clasp Flex Belt

The Wide Elastic Clasp Flex hip belt underscores the tight fit of the back system and provides perfect Support and Control in any situation.

In addition, the backpack insert can be adjusted closer to the body’s centre of gravity as required, thanks to Lateral Compression Straps adjacent to the hip belt.

This means the backpack Securely envelops the back without restricting freedom of movement.

To determine your back length, use a tape measure to measure yourself from the top of your hip bone to the very top of your back just before the neck. Use the size guide image in the image gallery to calculate your size.

Being a ski touring classic, the Haute Route 40 is ideal for those who love long ski excursions lasting several days, with a large usable volume of 40 Litres and a lot of attention to detail on the features, we recommend transferring your equipment from resort to resort with the Haute Route 40.

The Fit:

Based on the classic Haute Route Tour, the Ortovox Haute Route 40 offers protection and comfort into one, the O-flex back frame will give you maximum back protection against any impacts, quick access avalanche essential pockets make it easier in the case of an emergency, like most of the Ortovox Backpack range the padded shoulder straps and hip belts correspond with each other to distribute the weight.

When touring load control is a huge factor, Ortovox as standard has added compression straps in order to minimise the load of your pack, this will stop your pack from being bulky.

Rope Attachment: Use fixation strap (located in the middle compartment) and fit two half-moon hooks through the loops (one is hidden in the little top compartment) on the upper side of the pack. Open buckle, catch the loop above middle compartment, close the buckle again and tighten the strap.
Crampon Fastening: Fix the crampon by fitting the two additional straps (located in the middle compartment) through the small slots at the front.
Gear Loops: Ice axe, hiking poles and your shovel can be attached to the front to save more room in the pack.
Map Compartment: Special compartment stores your map for quick access when out in the backcountry.
Key Holder: Smallholder allows you to store keys so they don’t rattle around in your pack.
