TerraWest Core Quick-lock Probe Series – Manual

New to the market this winter is the TerraWest Core Quick-lock series, from 240 cm to BC standard 320 cm, the barrel locking probe has been built for speed.

TerraWest Quick-Lock 240 / 320 Probe Series:

Before heading into off-piste terrain with the TerraWest Quick-Lock probe series we recommend taking proper avalanche safety training and running practice deployments of your probe prior to any backcountry trip.

Time is of the essence in an emergency avalanche situation, so being familiar with the way your probe, shovel and transceiver works can speed up your reactions, saving valuable time. 

Step by Step Guide on How to use the TerraWest Quick-lock Probes:

1. Remove the probe from the bag by grabbing the handle which is exposed on the outside of the bag. 
2. The first pole on the probe has a EVA Foam grip making it easy to identify, hold the foam grip with one hand and pull the handle loop tightly with the other hand until the probe is fully assembled. 
3. When all of the probe sections have assembled the barrel lock will click into place. 
4. The Quick-lock probe is now ready to use.
5. Packing the probe, simply click the button above the EVA foam handle and the barrel lock will unclick, fold the probe from the tip working your way up towards the handle, insert into the quick release cover (bag) with the loop handle out, fold the velcro lid between the loop and secure tightly.

Schritt-für-Schritt-Anleitung zur Verwendung der TerraWest Quick-lock Probe-Serie:

1. Nehmen Sie die Sonde aus der Tasche, indem Sie den Griff an der Außenseite der Tasche greifen.
2. Der erste Stab an der Sonde hat einen EVA-Schaumstoffgriff, damit Sie ihn leicht erkennen können. Halten Sie den Schaumstoffgriff mit einer Hand fest und ziehen Sie mit der anderen Hand die Griffschlaufe fest, bis die Sonde vollständig montiert ist.
3. Wenn alle Sondenteile montiert sind, rastet die Zylinderverriegelung ein.
4. Die Quick-Lock-Sonde ist jetzt einsatzbereit.
5. Einpacken der Sonde, einfach auf den Knopf über dem EVA-Schaumstoffgriff klicken und die Laufverriegelung wird entriegelt, die Sonde von der Spitze nach oben zum Griff falten, in die Schnellverschlusshülle (Tasche) mit herausgezogenem Schlaufengriff einlegen, falten den Klettverschluss zwischen die Schlaufe legen und fest verschließen.

Guide étape par étape sur l’utilisation des sondes à verrouillage rapide TerraWest :

1. Retirez la sonde du sac en saisissant la poignée qui est exposée à l’extérieur du sac.
2. Le premier pôle de la sonde est doté d’une poignée en mousse EVA qui facilite son identification, tenez la poignée en mousse d’une main et tirez fermement sur la boucle de la poignée avec l’autre main jusqu’à ce que la sonde soit complètement assemblée.
3. Lorsque toutes les sections de la sonde sont assemblées, le verrou du barillet s’enclenche.
4. La sonde Quick-lock est maintenant prête à l’emploi.
5. En emballant la sonde, cliquez simplement sur le bouton au-dessus de la poignée en mousse EVA et le verrou du barillet se désenclenchera, pliez la sonde de la pointe vers la poignée, insérez-la dans le couvercle à dégagement rapide (sac) avec la poignée en boucle, pliez le couvercle velcro entre la boucle et fixez-le fermement.

Step by Step Guide on How to use the TerraWest Quick-lock Probes:

1. Rimuovere la sonda dalla borsa afferrando la maniglia che è esposta all’esterno della borsa.
2. Il primo palo sulla sonda ha un’impugnatura in schiuma EVA che ne facilita l’identificazione, tenere l’impugnatura in schiuma con una mano e tirare saldamente l’anello della maniglia con l’altra mano fino a quando la sonda non è completamente assemblata.
3. Quando tutte le sezioni della sonda sono state assemblate, il blocco del cilindro scatterà in posizione.
4. La sonda Quick-lock è ora pronta per l’uso.
5.
