Ortovox’s First Electric Avalanche Airbag is arriving AW22!
Ortovox LiTRIC Electronic Airbag, Dedicated to Ortovox mission to protect mountaineers, Ortovox has made an unusual step and literally crossed borders, partnering with Canadian brand Arc’teryx to jointly develop an avalanche ski airbag system that sets new benchmarks.
THE RESULT: The New LiTRIC SYSTEM works electronically, and weighs approx. 1080g, allows NUMEROUS TESTS AT HOME, is very intuitive, super easy to pack, and a lot more.
Thanks to the NEW LOCKING SYSTEM, accidental opening of the airbag pocket is now a thing of the past – no matter how full the backpack is.
The ERGONOMIC, HEIGHT-ADJUSTABLE ACTIVATION HANDLE with Bowden cable protects against false activation in no time flat: Just TURNING the handle 180° BLOCKS THE SYSTEM
HIP BELT AND LEG LOOP REIMAGINED: Instead of the fiddly process of threading it onto the waist strap, it is now attached to an extra loop using a carabiner.
The 150L-AIRBAG is made using a new, two-layer material that makes complicated folding unnecessary – it can be SIMPLY PUSHED BACK into the airbag pocket.
FOCUS UPON SIMPLICITY: A LED display on the side of the backpack shows the system’s battery charge and its rea-diness for operation including a self-test.
The combination of SUPER CAPACITORS and a 25g LIGHTWEIGHT LITHIUM-ION BATTERY that is designed to RESIST THE COLD, allows reliable operation even at the most extreme temperatures – without a drop in performance. The radial high-performance compressor with axial diffusor fills the airbag in FOUR SECOND. |
Two modular airbag bases and one specialist, The Avabag LiTRIC series covers every area of use.
