Terrawest are a UK based brand that was established in 2013. Focusing on a Recco installed technical ski backpack and avy tools such as avalanche shovels and probes.
With 20 years of experience in the avalanche and outdoor equipment world, Terrawest has bridged the gap in the market by creating high-quality equipment at competitive prices, making it possible for everyone who skis or boards off-piste the chance to ensure they have the correct equipment.
The Terrawest Core Backpack was built on 3 main guidelines, Safety, Practicality and Innovation.
It was important that Terrawest stood out from the rest of the market when it comes to the safety side of the bag.
Terrawest did this by partnering up with world-renowned Recco Advanced Rescue Technology to integrate a band-aid size Recco Reflector onto the outer layer of the ski backpack. located at the top of the backpack this helps Mountain Rescue Services detect the reflector signal in the case of an Avalanche Emergency.
As well as the collaboration with Recco, all of the main safety factors have been applied with a dedicated avy pocket for your shovel and probe.
Terrawest wanted to build a backpack with strong aesthetics and long-lasting for multiple ski seasons. This was achieved with a freeriding type ski backpack and strong materials.
A Durable and Lightweight Nylon 420D PU was used on the main body of the backpack, the Nylon material was used to withstand snags from backcountry terrain.
As we know from season to season our ski backpacks can take some beating, Terrawest used a Polyester 600 material on the most used and stress points of the pack.
The polyester 600 is a robust material that can withstand multiple impact and use. The strong polyester material allows the pack to have a longer life span than other ski backpacks on the market.
You can easily travel with the pack when getting to resort and when moving your ski gear from resort to resort when doing overnight tours.
With strong materials and the innovative Recco reflector installed into the backpack, Terrawest needed to build the free-riding pack with everything a standard ski backpack should have and more. The standard features on the Terrawest Core 22 Litre are as follows:
Built with safety in mind, Terrawest partnered with Recco (Advanced Rescue Technology) and included a Recco Reflector to the top of the backpack in order for search and rescue teams to be able to search for a victim in the case of an avalanche emergency situation.
For quick access, a separate safety compartment has been added in order for you to access your avy essentials like your Shovel and Probe, Save £££’s when purchasing the Terrawest Core Package.
Easily transport of your ski’s, Mount your skis Diagonally or A-Frame using the elasticated side panels.
Carry your snowboard directly on the front of the Terrawest Core 22 Litre Backpack, snowshoes can also be carried with the same straps.
Within the front pocket of the pack, a Helmet Net has been added to carry your helmet when hiking and for ease of use when not wearing your helmet.
A fleeced line goggle pocket allows you to protect your goggles from fluff or dirt.
