Ortovox Haute Route 40 Inside (Interior):

The Fit:
Based on the classic Haute Route Tour, the Ortovox Haute Route 40 offers protection and comfort into one, the O-flex back frame will give you maximum back protection against any impacts, quick access avalanche essential pockets make it easier in the case of an emergency, like most of the Ortovox Backpack range the padded shoulder straps and hip belts correspond with each other to distribute the weight.
When touring load control is a huge factor, Ortovox as standard has added compression straps in order to minimise the load of your pack, this will stop your pack from being bulky.

Back-system
The backpack adapts to the natural S-shape of the spine through a Predetermined Curvature of the back system and ensures that the backpack closely Surrounds The Back.

The weight load is held close to the body‘s centre of gravity and provides optimum support when carrying heavy loads.
The Soft Padding in an „O“ shape on the entire back surface with a recess in the area of the spine ensures high wearing comfort during heavy activity.
Size Guide:
To determine your back length, use a tape measure to measure yourself from the top of your hip bone to the very top of your back just before the neck. Use the size guide image in the image gallery to calculate your size.

Ortovox Haute Route 40 Features:
- Safety Compartment: Access to the compartment is marked with the red zipper pullers. Probe and Shaft receiver are marked with icons. Fasten the shovel with the sharp edge up, on the front of the backpack.
- Chest Strap with Signal Whistle: Quickly draw attention in emergency situations.
- Hip Pocket: Hip Pocket allows you to store small accessories such as mobile phones, keys.
- Helmet Net: The helmet net can be found in the foremost compartment. Hook the helmet net hooks onto the small loops near the ice axe fixation and on the slot compartment, these are also indicated by small icons.
- Water-Resistant Zippers: repelling moisture for secure and dry contents.
- Bright Inside: Light Colours inside make it easier to find your avalanche safety equipment.
- Hydration System Compatible: Push drink bladder of any model into the slot on the carry system interior and secure with strap and flat-front buckle.
- Emergency Card: Quick access to emergency details if stuck in an avalanche situation.
- Access To Main Compartment (Front): Quick access to emergency equipment/Accessories through the front.
- Access To Main Compartment (Back Panel Loader): Quick access to emergency equipment/Accessories through the Back panel Loader.
- Safety Equipment Attachment: Shovel and probes can be attached to the front of your backpack for quicker access, this will leave more room for spare layers, accessories.
- O-Flex Frame Back System: Two horizontal aluminium struts inside and padding can be bent for maximum individual adjustment. Perfect access to your gear in snowy condition.
- A-Skifix: Classic Side Ski Fastener using the compression straps.
- D-Skifix: Push the ski through the large loop hidden in the slot compartment, this is indicated with a small icon. you can then secure the skips with the straps hidden in the left shoulder strap. Snowboard and Snowshoe Attachment: Use the two separate straps (located in the middle compartment) and fix them at the male buckle parts of the lateral compression straps.

- Reinforced Compression Straps
- Rope Attachment: Use fixation strap (located in the middle compartment) and fit two half-moon hooks through the loops (one is hidden in the little top compartment) on the upper side of the pack. Open buckle, catch the loop above middle compartment, close the buckle again and tighten the strap.
- Crampon Fastening: Fix the crampon by fitting the two additional straps (located in the middle compartment) through the small slots at the front.
- Gear Loops: Ice axe, hiking poles and your shovel can be attached to the front to save more room in the pack.
- Map Compartment: Special compartment stores your map for quick access when out in the backcountry.
- Key Holder: Smallholder allows you to store keys so they don’t rattle around in your pack.
