New to season 19/20, The Pieps Jetforce BT 10 Airbag the smallest bag from the Pieps Jetforce range. This avalanche airbag uses the Jetforce System which works entirely with rechargeable batteries. After the airbag is filled, it's regularly re-filled to prevent deflation if there are any small tears in the material.
It's activated via a release button which also shows the battery status when switched on. It can be released four times per battery charge, so you have a chance to test it before taking your trip.
Weighing only 2800 g and made of exceptionally lightweight material, the BT 10 offers exceptional strength and durability, this bag is ideal for off-piste skiers looking to minimise extra weight.

Also an ideal size for heli and cat skiing, the BT 10 Jetforce Airbag carries just the essentials but brings along the added benefit of JetForce Technology.
When wearing your Pieps Jetforce BT 10 Airbag, make sure all straps are securely fastened and the system successfully is armed; the LED will be showing a pulsing green light. The airbag can now be deployed.
Grasp the Deployment Handle and firmly pull downwards to open the Release Flap that covers the airbag and turn the fan on.
The airbag will begin to Deploy Immediately. The fan will run at Full Power For 9 Seconds, followed by lower speed operation and Short Refilling Bursts for 3 minutes.
The airbag will deflate after 3 minutes and then automatically switch back to armed mode.
To interrupt the inflation/deflation process after the initial 9 second deployment period and return to armed mode, Press and hold the red Power button for approximately 5 seconds.

The fan is set to cycle on periodically during 3 minute inflation period per CE standards, this can overcome up to 7-inch tear in the fabric.
Fan timing is controlled by the electronics, here is how it cycles:
0-9 seconds - Mandatory Fill: During the first 3.5 seconds, the airbag fills 100%. For the next 5.5 seconds, the system continues to run at full speed for safety redundancy.
10-60 seconds - Active Performance: The system pulses between full speed and 50% speed. Since this is the most likely time to be carried by the avalanche, it is most critical to maintain full volume and recover from any possible tears.
61-180 seconds - Volume Maintenance: The system has 20s stand-by intervals between 3s full speed refilling pulses. The goal is to maintain the volume to aid in visibility and meet CE timing requirements.
181 seconds - Active Deflation: After 3 total minutes, the bag will automatically deflate. If partially or completely buried, this has the potential to create a large volume of air for breathing and/or extraction. If unburied, this simply helps repack the airbag quicker.
